Lucas 139 - 56
39 En aquellos días, María se encaminó
presurosa a un pueblo de las montañas de Judea,
40 y entrando en la casa de Zacarías, saludó a
Isabel.
41 En cuanto ésta oyó el saludo de María, la
criatura saltó en su seno. Entonces Isabel quedó
llena del Espíritu Santo,

42 y levantando la voz, exclamó Bendita tú
entre las mujeres y bendito el fruto de tu
vientre!
43 Quién soy yo, para que la madre de mi Señor
venga a verme?
44 Apenas llegó tu saludo a mis oídos, el niño
saltó de gozo en mi seno.
45 Dichosa tú, que has creído, porque se
cumplirá cuanto te fue anunciado de parte del
Señor.

46 Entonces dijo María Mi alma glorifica al
Señor
47 y mi espíritu se llena de júbilo en Dios,
mi salvador,
48 porque, puso sus ojos en la humildad de su
esclava. Desde ahora me llamarán dichosa todas
las generaciones,
49 porque ha hecho en mí grandes cosas el que
todo lo puede. Santo es su nombre
50 y su misericordia llega de generación en
generación a los que lo temen.

51 Ha hecho sentir el poder de su brazo
dispersó a los de corazón altanero,
52 destrono a los potentados y exaltó a los
humildes.
53 A los hambrientos los colmó de bienes y a
los ricos los despidió sin nada.
54 Acordándose de su misericordia, vino en ayuda
de Israel, su siervo,
55 como lo había prometido a nuestros padres, a
Abraham y a su descendencia para siempre.

56 María permaneció con Isabel unos tres meses
y luego regresó a su casa.

39 During those days Mary set out and traveled
to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah,
40 where she entered the house of Zechariah and
greeted Elizabeth.
41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the
infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth,
filled with the Holy Spirit,

42 cried out in a loud voice and said, Most
blessed are you among women, and blessed is the
fruit of your womb.
43 And how does this happen to me, that the
mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For at the moment the sound of your greeting
reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped
for joy.
45 Blessed are you who believed that what was
spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.

46 And Mary said My soul proclaims the
greatness of the Lord
47 my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
48 For he has looked upon his handmaids
lowliness behold, from now on will all ages
call me blessed.
49 The Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
50 His mercy is from age to age to those who
fear him.

51 He has shown might with his arm, dispersed
the arrogant of mind and heart.
52 He has thrown down the rulers from their
thrones but lifted up the lowly
53 The hungry he has filled with good things
the rich he has sent away empty.
54 He has helped Israel his servant, remembering
his mercy,
55 according to his promise to our fathers, to
Abraham and to his descendants forever.

56 Mary remained with her about three months and
then returned to her home.

belief in this mystery.

There is no explicit reference to the Assumption
in the Bible, yet the Pope insists that the
scriptures are the ultimate foundation of this
truth.

It is based on the belief in the Resurrection of
Christ our Lord. If Christ is not risen,
St. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 1514-22, vain
is our preaching, vain too is your faith. For
if the dead do not rise, neither has Christ
risen. If with this life only in view we have
had hope in Christ, we are of all men the most
to be pitied.

Esta basada en la fe en la Resurrección de Cristo
nuestro Señor. Si Cristo no ha resucitado,
dice San Pablo en 1 Corintios 1514-22, vana
es nuestra predicación, y vana es su fe....
Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco ha
resucitado Cristo.... Si la esperanza que
tenemos en Cristo es solo para esta vida, somos
los más desgraciados de los hombres.

But as it is, Christ has risen from the dead,
the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
For since by a man came death, by a man also
comes resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam
all die, so in Christ all will be made to live.

Pero de hecho Cristo ha resucitado de la muerte,
como primer fruto de los que duermen. Pues si
por un hombre vino la muerte, también un hombre
trajo la resurrección de la muerte. Porque como
en Adán todos mueren, así en Cristo todos
recibirán la vida.

This is to say that the new life brought by
Christ Jesus our Lord and our Savior, has so
totally transformed us, that our bodies also are
meant to share in the victory of Christ over
death.
Esto es decir que la nueva vida que Cristo Jesús
nuestro Señor nos trajo, nos ha transformado
totalmente, tal que nuestros cuerpos también han
de compartir la victoria de Cristo sobre la
muerte.

Death is swallowed up in victory Now the
sting of death is sin But thanks be to God who
has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus
Christ (1 Corinthians 1553-57).
La muerte se ha aniquilado en la victoria...
Ahora, el aguijón de la muerte es el pecado...
Pero gracias a Dios que nos ha dado la victoria

The Virgin Mary was most intimately joined to her
divine Son Jesus, and has always shared his lot
(MD 38). This started with her Immaculate
Conception. Since Our Lady was perfectly free
from sin, like Christ, she would be free from
the consequent punishment in death and
corruption.

La Virgen Maria fue íntimamente unida a su divino
Hijo Jesucristo, y siempre comparte de su suerte
(MD 38). Esto comenzó con su Inmaculada
Concepción. Siendo que Nuestra Señora fue
perfectamente libre del pecado, como Cristo,
ella será siempre libre de las consecuencias del
pecado, que es el castigo de la muerte y la
corrupción.

When the Angel Gabriel greeted Our Lady, he said
Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with
you, he showed us how to greet Our Mother.
And every time we say the Hail Mary we join the
angels who surround her and attend to her as
Queen of heaven and earth. We are her little
children. She is our doting Mother who watches
over us with tender love and care.

Cuando el Ángel Gabriel saludo a Nuestra Señora,
le dijo Dios te salve, Maria, llena eres de
gracia, el Señor esta contigo, Él nos enseño
como saludar a Nuestra Madre. Y cada vez que
decimos la Dios Té Salve nos unimos a los
Ángeles que rodean a la Virgen y la atienden
como Reina del cielo y de la tierra. Somos sus
pequeños hijos. Ella es Nuestra Madre que
siempre nos cuida y nos protege con su manto
celestial, con todo cariño.

What else do you need, my son she revealed to
St. Juan Diego. This is the proper time to ask,
and ask with confidence. Feast Days of Our
Lady are special occasions for an outpouring of
graces. Ask, and ask again!

Que más necesitas, hijo mío? Le dijo la
Virgen de Guadalupe a San Juan Diego. Este es el
momento apropiado pare pedir, y pedir con
confianza. Los Días de Fiesta de Nuestra Señora
son ocasiones especiales para un verdadero
derrame de gracias. Pídele, y pídele otra vez!
