Ovarian Cycle

• 28 days
• The cycle in which an oocyte matures, erupts from
  the ovary, and then travels down the oviduct.
• If not fertilized the process repeats all over
  again.

• Forms corpus luteum which produces progestogens

• If implantation does not occur the corpus luteum
  will die, dropping progesterone and estrogen
  hormones causing the uterus to shed its lining

• Wall of endometrium begins to thicken.
