  • Generally follows the word it modifies.
  • Gender and number determined by antecedent.
  • If the antecedent is personal, aujtovV follows
    natural gender.
  • If the antecedent is not personal, aujtovV
    follows grammatical gender

  • It can function intensively when it is used
    adjectively
  • It normally modifies another word and is usually
    in the predicate position.
  • It will usually be at the first of the phrase.
  • It will be translated as a reflexive pronoun
    (himself, themselves, etc.)
  • As an intensive, it will usually be in the
    nominative case and will modify the subject.
