- In the town planning the relationship between
green areas and buildings was limited to the
respect of urban standards but not to the size
and quality of plants - In the context of urban centre parks and gardens
are space-limited and in the suburbs the presence
of fields is predominance respect to urban forest - The elements of natural landscape are far from
cities - Present urban planning is devoted to a new
concept of green space. Green space must be
considered as a way to improve the quality of our
life and the quality of the environmental in his
whole too.

One of the goals of CRIT.ECO project
(environmental standard for industrial park) is
to create a green network to reduce atmospheric
pollution in Coriano industrial area
239 factories are located in Coriano they are
mainly wood and metal factories and 2 waste
incinerator are also located in Coriano

energy efficiency and urban bio-climate
- Improve bio-climate in urban and industrial areas
through roof gardens and vertical green walls - In particular for existing industrial and
commercial buildings this kind of green can be a
useful tool to reduce the energy consumption - Planning of new residential and commercial
buildings with attention to bio-climate aspects

for planning of green elements in parking,
gardens, wooden lanes, parks - We suggest some planning proposals for different
kind of green areas in order to increment
mitigation air pollution by the plants

12Conclusion
- Green network and urban natural landscape are
important element of urban planning in respect to
their function to improve air quality and energy
consumption - In the next 10 years the existing and new green
areas will be able to remove 5.500 ton of CO2
that represent 0.7 of CO2 that Forlì produce in
1 year - The planning of green network in urban area is
one of strategies that middle-town dimension can
apply to reduce or to mitigate the air pollution,
the energy consumption and the emission of CO2 - No regrets option
