Title: ANATOMY
1ANATOMY PHYSIOLOGY BIO 168 DIGITAL HISTOLOGY
LIBRARY from the slide collection at Craven
Community College
created by Dr. C. Morgan
2TO THE STUDENT READ THIS FIRST Purpose This
collection of digital images was created to
assist students in Anatomy and Physiology in
becoming familiar with the tissue level of
organization. How to use these images (1)
Preparation before lab studying these images
will help you in the lab exercise with real
slides. (2) Use these images to prepare for lab
quizzes. Organization of slides The slides are
organized according to the exercises in the lab
manual.
3What to look for Labels indicate key features
that will help you recognize each tissue type
and / or important structures. Compare these
images with those in your text and lab manual
to see variation. Magnifications Many slides
have views at more than one magnification. The
total magnification is indicated on each
slide. before the title indicates the view is
the same slide as the previous one but at a
higher magnification Stains Some tissues are
shown with different stains which are selected
to highlight various structural features. Slide
colors may be slightly different due to the
software used to capture the slide images.
