Title: Instituto San Roberto
1Instituto San Roberto
2San Agustín es muy especial porque los alumnos se
divierten haciendo sus actividades escolares, y
jugando con su equipo de fútbol o básquetbol.
San Agustín is very special because the
students enjoy doing their jobs with their
classmates, and playing with their soccer or
basketball teams. Javier I.
3Valle Alto is located in the southern part of
Monterrey and is surrounded by natural wonders.
Mountains, tropical trees, and grasslands are
three things you will see. An iguana was
spotted on campus, perhaps it wanted to learn a
few things from the kids!!!!
4Cumbres is the newest part to out San Roberto
Family. It is a beautiful school that has
classes up to 2nd grade.

6Student Resonse Pages Hey!! Whats up? Here in
Monterrey we love sports. The sport we like the
most is soccer. Most of the girls dance but I
enjoy soccer like the other girls in the team. We
practice Monday to Thursday. Friday for us is
like party day or "lets go to the movies".
Before classes escolta ( the way we honor the
flag ) practice so that this month we can win the
contest of escolta. Last years team got 3rd
place, this year we hope to get the gold. Later
on, we are going to Tampico to compete in ASOMEX
of soccer. Last year we got 4th place out of 5
teams, but at least we got the sportmanship. This
Year we hope to get 1st place!!

7Monterrey is a very busy city. Lots of traffic
and things to do. We start school at 745 a.m.
and end at 225 p.m. In that time period we work
on different things and go to different classes
like math, writing, spelling, grammar, social
studies, health, science, Spanish. When school
finishes, I stay there until 430p.m. when
soccer practice ends. I train for soccer from
300p.m. to 430p.m. After that I go home.

8Last year in soccer we went to Paris, France for
the world cup!! Eight girls in my school
including me traveled to Paris and won the cup
!! It was very fun special to go because we
represented Mexico played versus other girls
from other places!! We met a lot of people and
made new friends!! This year in track
field I went to Tampico. I competed in 100 m.
, 200 m. , long jump, and 4 X 400. I passed to
the final in 100 m., but I lost in 4th place. In
200 m. I went in 3rd place and won a medal !! I
passed to the front to recieve and all!! It was
very fun !! In long jump I was like in 5 or 6
place, and in 4 x 400 I we went in 1st
place!!!!!! I won 2 medals in all. I had so much
fun in Tampico. Estefania C.
9Hello! I just want to tell you about
Monterrey (Mexico.) The city where I live. Here
in Monterrey, we are surrounded by very big and
beautiful mountains. This winter was very strange
because it was very hot. It is never hot in
winter. So this was kind of a special winter for
us. It snowed but it didn't snow that much. Just
in the mountains it snowed a lot. It hadn't snow
for like 7 years until now. Well, now that I
already talked about Monterrey, I will talk
about my school. My school's name is Instituto
San Roberto. Here in school, we have like 2 hours
of Spanish and the rest of English or special
classes like P.E., Music, Computers, Psycology,
Art and Values. We have recess that last 40
minutes. At the end of the school there are
special classes for those who want to enter.
Like Dance, Soccer, Basketball and more things.
10Last September, all my generation (sixth grade)
had a trip to Zacatecas (a place here in Mexico).
It was really fun because our parents didn't go!
We were like 105 students with 8 teachers. We
went out a Friday at 630 A.M. and we arrived
Sunday like at 11 P.M. The trip was real awesome.
We saw a lot of things in Zacatecas. Many places
in there, museums, etc. The best was a Pizza
Party that we had Saturday. We had music and
pizza! It started like at 8 and it finished at
11. It was really fun. Everyone dance a lot.
In Spanish, they teach us like Mexico's History
and well, Spanish grammar. I am also in a contest
that is like I will compete against kids all over
Mexico. This contest is of intelligence. They
will ask us all the things that we will see in
sixth grade. The contest will be in March and we
still haven't finish studying! I think that I
will not go that a girl that is also studying for
it and is in the same school as me will go.
