Different religions have different approaches
regarding death and the last ceremony. The
rituals surrounding the funeral and the last
ceremony are quite different. There are regional
differences and variations and this presentation
focus on some funeral ceremonies including

Catholicism
  • Catholics believe that at death the soul passes
    from this life to the everlasting life
  • This life is promised by Christ and the body of
    the dead is resurrected at the end of time in
    Christian funerals
  • According to catholic beliefs, the afterlife
    includes purgatory, heaven and hell
