2Yes, there will be an IGEL Conference in 2006
- In the neighbourhood of Munich
- in all probability early August 2006
- negotiations with the Poetic and Linguistics
Association going on (Joennsu) - ideal would be PALA and IGEL piggybacked in
Munich - we will keep you informed of the new developments
- will be the 10th conference, and the 20th year of
existence of IGEL !
3And, yes, there will be another Summer Institute
in 2006
- Aimed at junior researchers in ESL
- to further develop methodological insights and
skills - one innovation participants will prepare
themselves months ahead through interaction over
the internet (discussion forum)
- Supported by the REDES group involved in

- So that we will pick the most efficient methods
of instruction / cooperation

- So as to make optimal use of the citys and
universitys facilities - to also explore the history and culture
- to establish contacts with the REDES research
group - to navigate through Munich student life
- to see where Thomas Mann sipped coffee before
writing yet another novel
