  • The Civil War was fought between the Northern
    part of the United States and the Southern part
    of the United States.

  • The North is known as The Union or as Yankees.
  • The South is known as The Confederates or as
    Rebels.

  • The Confederate States of America selected
    Jefferson Davis to be their President.

    President.
  • He was elected in March of 1861.
