The church shapes politics and society
  • The clergys are the church officials. They were
    also very influential in the medieval European
    culture and politics.
  • The society was shaped by the church because when
    people died they gave there land to the church.
  • This made the church a major feudal lord and the
    clergy became political advisors.

  • The monks established a new religious order.
  • The monks of lived apart from society while the
    friars lived in town.

    Franciscans.
  • Friars were people who lived within the society
    and taught to the people.

    religious leaders. They took tests just like we

  • It was a written document saying that the rights
    of the king cant be ignored. It was written in
    1215 by a group of English nobles.

  • The effects of the Magna Carta is it gave the
    king a lot of power. They could say that since
    they were chose by god they can do whatever
    because it is good.

  • Magna Carta caused change and made the nobles get
    advise from the council for advise and money.

    it is still used in England today.

  • The king limited it by making the parliament,
    also called the lawmaking body.

The course of the war
  • The king of France dies with no children to be
    king, so his cousin the king of England tries to
    take over. But his other cousin also wants the
    throne, too! So the English and the France go to
    war for 116 years! Joan the Arc, a girl cuts her
    hair and lead the English. So, the France capture
    her, and burn her alive for heresy.

  • The changes in England is that the army gets mad
    at the French for killing Joan the arc, so that
    inspired them to win the war.
  • The changes in France is they lost the war, then
    the Kings power grew.

Where it came from
  • The Black Death came from central and eastern
    Asia originally. The traders from Asia brought
    it unknowingly bringing it to England.

How it spread
  • It spread from fleas that would land on rats and
    when the fleas flew onto you and bit you, you
    would have the Black Death.

What disease was it
  • It was a disease that was incurable and killed
    2/3s of the population in Europe.

Effect on manor life and feudalism
  • The effect of manor life is the old system
    weakened, and collapsed.
  • It is was believed to kill a 3rd of the
    population or over 25,000,000 people.

  • The Europeans cleaned up the city and got rid of
    the most of the plague, which is still an
    incurable disease.
