  • The black death came from central and eastern
    Asia
  • Trade ships packed with rats came into
    Mediterranean
  • Ports and the rats went into Europe spreading the
    black death .

  • The plague spread through Europe on rats that
    came in through ports fleas from the rats were
    carriers there were millions of rats in each city
    which caused many of the weak to die

How the plague effected manor life
  • Europe lost two thirds of its population due to
    the black death.
  • This drop in population caused the manor system
    to fall apart
  • Killing most serfs and peasants made their
    services highly valuable

What happened to the plague
  • People in Europe found that the plague was coming
    from the fleas on the rats they started to clean
    the streets towns and cites getting rid of the
    garbage which decreased the rats
