7The Mission Developers CORE VALUES usually will
be reflected in the Core Values of the new
Mission.
- In the post-modern, 21st century culture people
do not lead by giving ORDERS. - Leadership will exercise its influence through a
clearly articulated set of CORE VALUES, the focus
of a widely-owned Mission Statement, and a Vision
that is Biblical/Confessional and passionate. - Thus CORE VALUES must be SHARED!
8Why are Core Values important?

- They enhance CREDIBLE LEADERSHIP.
- They shape the CHARACTER of the ministry.
- They contribute to MINISTRY SUCCESS.
- They determine the MISSION VISION.

- They help us embrace POSITIVE change.
- They influence overall BEHAVIOR.
9WHAT ARE CORE VALUES?
- Lets start with what they are NOT!
- They are NOT VISION
- Vision answers WHAT? Values answers WHY?
- Vision FOCUSES. Values DRIVE.
- Vision REFLECTS Values. Values DICTATE Vision.
10WHAT ARE CORE VALUES?
- They are NOT a DOCTRINAL Statement.
- DOCTRINE is the BEDROCK beneath
- our Core Values.
11WHAT ARE CORE VALUES?
