4OUR MISSION METHODOLOGY
- PLANTING INDIGENOUS CHURCHES
- Self-supporting
- Self-propagating
- Self-governing
By Training Missionaries/Church Planters on The
Field -- Men Who Are Grounded in The Word And
Trained In Methods For Evangelizing Asia
51 INITIAL CHURCH PLANTING (BIRTHING)
- City-wide meetings (campaigns) are used to find
truth-seekers whom we believe are waiting for us
in the giant cities of the world. - These meetings often attract the ones interested.
These are patiently taught the Word of God. - Those converted are incorporated into the local
congregation.
Here the missionary becomes a parent...
62 GROUNDING PHASE (CHILDHOOD/INFANCY)
- The missionary provides the primary
teaching...the goal being to impart the
fundamentals of Christianity with the view of
developing spiritual growth in each new
convertAND EACH NEW CHURCH.
This new church cannot be a child forever.
73 WITHDRAWAL PHASE (TEENAGER)
- The missionaries' goal from the start is to
eventually pass the baton on to local leaders.
Hence, the focus on leadership training. Those
with abilities are encouraged to begin teaching
others as soon as they feel comfortable about it. - The missionary begins to withdraw from
intra-church dynamics, but still offer his
services and advice when requested. This is a
critical juncture of any church's development.
84 VISITING PHASE (OFF TO COLLEGE)
- However, the need for periodic visits and special
classes will continue for years. - The missionary continues to stay out of the
dynamics of the local church. He affords advice
and help only when it is requested. These
periodic training sessions and special classes
concern doctrinal stability and continued
development of leadership within the
congregation. Also, special classes for
spiritual development are arranged.
Now the missionary has moved on to other fields .

9THE PAULINE METHODOLOGY
- Example of Paul (2 Timothy 22)
- 1) Paul executed 3 extended Mission Journeys.
- 2) Established churches in the major cities of
the Roman WorldUrban Evangelism. - 3) Stayed (usually for a short time) and moved on
to new territory. - 4) Routinely revisited these new churches to
mature, stabilize and form leadership in each. - 5) Wrote letters to instruct, correct and
encourage each. - 6) Established a school at Ephesus to train
leaders of churches in what was then called Asia
(Acts 1910) - 7) Faithfully prayed for each new work!
10WE WILL TEACH TODAYS ASIAN CHURCHES USING PAULS
EXAMPLE
- All the cattle on a thousand hills belong to the
Lord. (Psa 241-7)
THE SUN NEVER SITS ON THE WORK OF SUNSET
11We believe
- We believe that the shortest path to world
evangelism is through the multiplication of able
spokesmen of the Word. - The only efficient way we know of to do this is
by providing quality training in the student's
own country, language, and socio-economic
environment.
