Technology

• The CBI series is a new range of battery chargers
  based on switching technology that offers three
  main features in the same unit
• Stabilized Power Supply
• Back UP Module
• Battery charger

• Switching technology, micro-processor control and
  solid state switching optimize level of charge
  and life time of the batteries. Features such as
  the software management of boost and trickle
  charge and the continuous monitoring of battery
  life status (life test check) allow a risk-free
  operation even in permanent connection conditions.

• CBI makes installation and maintenance easier.
• A flashing sequence code allows to discriminate
  among various possible malfunctions.

4 flashes Overload.
5 flashes Battery to be replaced.

Battery life test

• The smart features over viewing battery charge
  status and life test diagnostics ensure high
  efficiency and risk-free operation
• A pulse stimulation is sent to the battery by a
  specific circuitry. The electric signal received
  back in response is analysed by evaluation
  algorithms able to discriminate surfeited battery
  conditions or elements in short circuit.

Recovery charging

• CBI is able to recharge batteries even when their
  voltage is close to zero.
• In this demanding condition. CBI insures
  continued power supply to the load

No Deep Discharge

• Deep discharge and consequent battery damages are
  prevented

• In case of mains off, the load is supplied till
  when the voltage reaches the value of 1.95V per
  cell.

Protections

• The output is protected against short circuit and
  overload

Diagnostic checks

• Check for elements in short circuit
• During trickle charge the quality (resistance) on
  the battery connection is checked every 20 sec
• During trickle charge the internal resistance of
  the battery is checked every 4 hours.
• Appropriate voltage check, to prevent connection
  of wrong battery types
• End of charging check
• Check for accidental disconnection of the battery
  cables
• Reverse polarity check
