• The purpose of this lesson is to recreate an
  exhibit about life during the Civil War.

• Divide into groups of three.
• Research the lives of women.
• Research the lives of soldiers.
• Research the role of music during this era.

EXPERT ON WOMENS ROLE

• Research the role of women during the Civil War
  era.
• Portray several ways that women aided the war
  efforts.

EXPERT ON SOLDIERS

• Research the hardships soldiers endured during
  war.
• Recreate a letter that a soldier might have
  written about these hardships.

EXPERT ON MUSIC

• Research the music during the Civil War era.
• Describe how soldiers relied on music during
  battle.

• Each group will be graded on an exhibit that will
  be created and put on display.
• Each display will be graded by content from each
  experts research.

• Each group will create your exhibit on poster
  board.
• You will present your display to the class.

• The posterboard should have 3 sections.
• Each expert should complete one section.

Procedure

• Turn on the computer .
• Log onto the Internet.
• From the Howe website , click on Mrs. Stacys 5th
  grade class.
• Click on assignments.
• Click on Civil War.
