What is IRC

• A component of the Public Affairs section
• IRC role is to promote understanding between
  Rwanda and the United States offering reading and
  research facilities.
• IRC has a Library and an internet corner

• Our IRC has a library with about 3000 books in
  all areas
• American history, politics and society, US
  economy, human rights, global issues like
  HIV/AIDS, gender, environment, media
• (French and English books available)

  Educational advising books and
• catalogues
  for both graduates and

  undergraduates.

• IRC has subscription to the 45 periodicals
  (French and English)
• Jeune Afrique, Paris Match, Femme Actuelle, the

• 4 computers with free internet access (for
  research purposes only)
• Internet service available Monday-Friday, 1100
  AM to 600 PM

• IRC wiki collects and provides electronic
  resources and tool kits that can be useful for
  researchers, journalists, students, lectures and
  all the people seeking US information in many
  areas.

• Lending services 2 books can be borrowed for 2
