thought and felt about the Europeans and of the
changes in the Europeans brought are from oral
stories passed down from generation to
generation. - Written records of the explorers do give some
indications as to how the First Nations peoples
were impacted

6POSITIVE IMPACTS - Aboriginals
7The introduction of metal tools and some
medicines was helpful to the Aboriginals

to hunt more successfully

- One of the most important animals was the horse,
which allowed the First Nations peoples to travel
faster and greater distances. Later, other
animals such as chickens, cows, sheep, and pigs
