Introduction

• Martin Luther King was born on January 15, 1929
  in 501 Auburn Ave. in Atlanta, Georgia.

Background

• Martin Luther King was married to Correta Scott
  in 1953.He also received a PhD in systematic
  theology in 1955.

Accomplishments

• Martin did the civil rights movement because of
  Rosa Park, she refused to move on the bus. They
  boycotted the buses. The bus owners earned less
  money.
• Martin also spoke of the most important speech in
  the American History!!! Martin spoke on August 28
  the speech is called" I have a dream. He spoke
  about discrimination that white people did to the
  black.

Obstacles

• Martin had many obstacles like when Martin s
  house was set on fire by people who didnt like
  what Martin was doing. Luckily Martins wife and
  kids were out of the house.
• He was assassinated on April 4,1968.

Tributes

• Martin won the Nobel Prize in 1964. He then
  started a Poor Peoples Campaign in1967.

Conclusion

• Martin is our hero because you wouldn't be in the
  same room as you are today. You would only have
  white friends if you were white and if you were
  colored (black) you would only have colored
  (black) friends!!!
• If Martin was still alive he would be 75 years
  old.
