High precision and low pressure doctoring The
chamber system is designed to offer perfect
ink-tight ink transfer and doctoring at lowest
possible application pressure against the screen
roller. The result is drastically reduced wear
of doctor blades, end-seals and screen roller,
improved print quality, less down-time and
significantly improved total operational economy.

4
Easy service and maintenance Designed with very
smooth and resilient surfaces with little or no
angles or corners for the ink to grip, the
chamber construction prevents ink from sticking
on to it, making cleaning easy. The quick change
feature of doctor blades and end-seals offers
fast and easy change of consumables.

5
Ink tight operation The combination of patented
foam end-seals and doctor blades mounted
perfectly in parallel (both parts mounted by
sliding them into their operating positionno
tools required) form an ink tight wet window
against the screen roller. The perfectly
ink-tight softer plastic doctor blade run at an
extremely low pressure against the screen roller,
allowing non-transferred ink to recycle back into
the chamber.

6
Full float ink system The ink return connector
is positioned on top of the ink tight chamber,
creating a slight over pressure inside the
chamber. Completely filling the chamber with ink
and having an unusually high wet window
(between the edges of the doctor blades) prevents
ink starvation and reduces the risk of ghosting
and other related problems. This feature is
especially important when printing at high speeds
and/or when using high viscosity inks.

Extremely strong All structural parts are made
of high quality stainless steel, dimensioned for
active use for decades. Wet parts not made of
stainless steel are either PTFE (Teflon), PE
(polyurethane) or EPDM (highly resilient rubber),
making the chamber system extremely resilient. As
an extra precausion, the entire suspension pipe
is painted with an enamel paint resistant even to
ethyleneacetate solvents.

Quick easy installation In most cases, the
side-plates are mounted directly onto the inside
of the printing machine bearing block, requiring
only 2 to 3 M10 screws to be securely fastened.
In combination with the general light-weight
contruction of the chamber system, installation
is normally a very quick and easy process.

Easy handling Robust and ergonomical handles
ensure quick and trouble-free handling of the
suspension system and the attached chamber.
Twisting the chamber into service or operating
position and connecting or disconnecting the
chamber is an effortless task performed in a few
seconds.

10
Self supporting, light-weight construction The
suspension pipe, made of extremely strong and
straight steel, carries the weight of the chamber
and is fastened onto the side-plates at a single
point on each side of the printing press. This
patented solution makes the entire chamber system
very robust while offering a very neat
installation. As a result, installing the chamber
system and accessing the interior of the printing
press after installation is very easy and
convenient.

Quick doctor blade change The doctor blades
are held in place in the doctor blade holders by
a very resilient rubber profile. As special
lubricating paste is applied on the rubber
profiles, making them easy to squeeze into
position inside the doctor blade holders. Once
inserted, the chamber is absolutely ink tight and
the doctor blades are locked in perfect operating
position. Changing doctor blades in a 1 metre
chamber is estimated to require 1 to 2 minutes of
work, a very quick process, especially when
considering the expected life-span of the doctor
blades of up to 3 weeks.

12
Fast doctor blade alignment When pushed into
the bottom of the doctor blade holders, the
doctor blades will automatically be in perfect
operating position. After locking the doctor
blades into position by inserting the rubber
profile, the doctor blades run in parallel along
the entire length of the chamber, securing
perfect and ink tight operation.

13
Fast and easy replacement Both the chamber and
the doctor blade holders are constructed with a
very high level of precision and are extremely
straight. Simply placing a doctor blade holder on
the edge of the chamber (and then fastening it
with the included rubber profile) will
automatically place it in a perfect operating
position. In the unlikely event that a doctor
blade holder gets damaged, it can be easily and
quickly replaced by a handy technician following
the instructions.

14
Easy cleaning The smooth surfaces and lack of
prodtruding angles and corners on both the
chamber and the doctor blade holders leaves
little or no possibility for ink to get a grip,
resulting in very easy cleaning.

Perfect doctoring The system is designed to
achieve perfect, ink-tight doctoring at very low
application pressure against the screen roller.
The choice of doctor blades is aimed at achieving
this goal at lowest possible total cost. Doctor
blade life of up to 3 weeks is a fact translating
to better print output and superior cost
efficiency.

16
Extremely durable Extremely high precision in
the construction of the chamber system offers
perfect doctoring at very low application
pressure of the doctor blades against the screen
roller. A top quality steel doctor blade ensures
perfect doctoring while a softer plastic doctor
blade seals the chamber with an extremely low
pressure against the screen roller. This 2nd
generation low pressure doctoring chamber system
offers doctor blade and end-seal life of up to 3
weeks.

17
Top quality The chamber system uses highest
quality cold-rolled steel doctor blades and
plastic doctor blades from world-leading
manufacturers. This ensures instant high quality
doctoring and long-lasting, trouble free
operation.

Tailored lengths (ready-to-use) To further
simplify service and maintenance, we supply our
high quality steel and plastic doctor blades in
dispensers holding either full length or cut,
ready-to-use, lengths of doctor blade.

Remote control system As an option, we offer a
remote control system, eliminating the need to
manually reposition the chambers as the doctor
blades and end-seals wear down. In comparison to
the Conventional (100 manual) side-plate, the
Remote control version is fitted with a small
casing just behind the adjustment knob, housing a
compressed air cylinder and the required
mechanical parts to reposition the chamber. This
slim unit can also be retrofitted to any older
model chamber system from AkeBoose (and
FlexoCompact). Phase 1 of development All
chamber systems are connected to a manual remote
control unit (basically a simple button) bringing
all connected chambers forward by a pre-specified
distance by each press of the button. Phase 2 of
development The control button is replaced by an
easy-to-use digital control unit (mini computer).
All data (like printing speed, abrasiveness of
ink etc) are entered into the computer after
which the computer controls the chamber.
Operators will no longer have to manually check
each print station but rather monitor the process
and make smaller inputs/alterations as the
printing goes on. The possibility to operate the
chambers manually will not be eliminated
regardless of what version of remote control
system in use.
