WHAT IS CPS?

• CPS is an organization created to protect
  children
• Most cases abused or neglected
• Every state has own chapter

WHAT IS CHILD ABUSE OR NEGLECT?

• Voluntary or involuntary infliction of pain
• Sexual, mental, or physical
• Inability or unwillingness to provide a child
  with safe living conditions
• Shelter, food, clothing

DID YOU KNOW?

• 4 children die from child abuse every day.
• 27 children die from poverty every day.
• 689 babies are born with insufficient prenatal
  care daily
• 13,700 children are abused and neglected on a
  daily basis

WHY IS CPS INEFFECTIVE?

• Lack of funding
• The shortage of caseworkers
• Not doing thorough investigations

• NOT ENOUGH MONEY
• NOT USING WHAT THEY HAVE IN RIGHT AREAS

• More caseworkers
• Support groups
• Counseling, etc.

• Suggested 12-16 monthly
