4Process for New Construction Move In - which
requires New Meter Set new ESI ID ( premise)
( example applies when no new construction is
required, market rules allow the TDSP up to 7
days )
Builder/customer calls REP For Move In ( new
premise Is required) Allow 48 hours for premise
to be registered At ERCOT
REP submits Move In to ERCOT (should be same day
depending on REP)
ERCOT processes Move In sends by EDI to
Oncor (estimate of 2 days)
Oncor sets meter energy flows (3 to 5 days)
max. 7 days Oncor notifies ERCOT with EDI
ERCOT confirms order worked sends EDI notice to
REP (estimate- 2 days)
Oncor processes request (same day)
REP starts billing customer for electric
service ( depends on REP)
Note When new construction is required, market
allows TDSP up to 90 days. However,
actual time is negotiated with the assigned Oncor
Project Manager.
