The Company

• ISTA is a Dompé Group Company created to develop
  innovative products and technologies for the
  agrochemical, seed, food and feed and commodity
  processing industries. ISTA customers, who will
  be able to benefit most from ISTAs technologies,
  are companies involved in several steps of the
  added value chain within the Agrobusiness sector.
  ISTA is also involved in the development of
  traditional products to be sold directly in the
  market.

Mission

• The aim of ISTA is to became a leader in
  Mediterranean crop production and quality
  improvement through the incorporation of value
  added traits in crops. The research of ISTA will
  develop proprietary technologies and will
  establish strategic alliances with key industry
  players.

Business

• ISTA is involved in the following activities.
• Proprietary crop breeding programs to ensure a
  good basis for the novel traits introduction.
• Identification of crop plants prototypes with
  added value traits, and identification of new
  agrochemical and molecules selection methods.
• Research of new systems for producing human
  proteins in plants
• Research contracts for the improvement of
  specific elite germplasm provided by customers.
• Licensing rights for genes or promoters derived
  from its in house research.

Markets

• ISTA will market its technologies to the crop
  production, crop protection and the commodity
  processing industry, focused in Mediterranean
  crops and vegetatively reproduced plants.

Services

• ISTA is engaged in the discovery of a new
  technology platform for monitoring the presence
  of BSE prion in the Italian bovine population and
  GMO in plant products based on proprietary
  technology.
