The early years
  • In the early years of Rotary in our region,
Eugene Barakat Lebanese who was one of staff at
RI office of Zurich. He has translated, with the
support of RI, some documents. Then, when Eugene
left the office, all publications were
    officially stopped.
  • Individual efforts were done in Egypt, in Lebanon
and in other Rotary Arab countries to translate
Rotary publications into Arabic language, to
print and to distribute them on hard copies and
    on CD as well.
  • We recognize all these volunteer efforts which
    have lightened the road.

distributed without RI support. Only the District
