  • The first International Scale Event
  • Commemorating
  • Universal Childrens Day in Egypt
  • Deliver the important message of defending
    Childrens Rights and declaring our commitment to

Purpose (Contd)
  • The concept of Childrens Rights is not really
    understood by
  • the mass and so various infractions on the right
    of the Child
  • are regularly witnessed (violence, FGM/C, child
    labour, etc.)
  • Adults need to be constantly educated and
    reminded about
  • the rights of the Child in order to secure
    endorsement on the
  • local, pan-Arab and international levels

Proposed Activities
  • Creation of the Worlds Largest Hand
  • Print Painting done by Children
  • An appropriate image will be designed to
  • visually portray a message from the children
  • to the World
  • Approximately 3500 children will participate
  • United Nations Goodwill Ambassadors and
  • other celebrities and VIP guests will be
  • invited to monitor the process of the
  • creation of the hand print painting

  • Awareness initiatives planned by various
  • local and international NGOs will play
  • an integral role in the event so as not to
  • lose the educational focus of the day
