TURKISH INSURANCE INSTITUTE

Turkish Insurance Institute (TII) was established
on 29th May 1970, by the equal shares of the
Association of the Insurance and Reinsurance
Companies of Turkey and the Milli Re. The
Institute has been established with the statute
of "Foundation" according to the related decree
of the Turkish Civil Code.

Since its establishment, the Institute has been
in cooperation with the universities, has led
studies and researches on topics about insurance
and has been in relation with the national and
international education institutes, in order to
increase the competitiveness of the sector and to
support its development.

Through its Basic Insurance Training Programme,
the Institute has brought around 25 of the
total employees in the sector.

REORGANIZATION Taking into consideration the
global changes, the Institute has entered a new
process of reorganization in 2007. In this
process, the Institute changed its mission,
vision and adopted new targets.

OUR VISION As the first and only organization in
insurance training, research and consultancy
services in Turkey, the vision of TII is to be
the reference institution in the Balkans, the
Middle East and Central Asia, in insurance
education, research and in providing consultancy
services.

• To increase the quality and efficiency of
  employment in insurance sector,
• To compose sectoral information which is
  accessible and easy to share
• To raise the awareness on insurance in the
  society through explaining the importance of
  insurance and introducing insurance products
• To raise the consumer awareness to decrease the
  number of claims for the purpose of increasing
  the profitability of insurance companies,
• Providing consultancy services to the markets of
  developing countries on the establishment of new
  institutions.

• TII offers solutions specific to the corporations
  with its team composed of professionals and
  academicians. TII gives consultancy services,

• On various studies such as customer surveys,
  employee surveys, product surveys directed to the
  market and public opinion,
• On the harmonization to the European Union of the
  institutions supervising and regulating the
  insurance sector in Turkey and abroad,
• On the establishment of the infrastructure of the
  new institutions of the developing countries.
