ANTIOXIDANT FOODS 
  • The process of oxidation inside the human body is
    a harmful one, as it damages the cell membranes,
    cellular proteins, lipids, and DNA. When
    metabolism functions - unstable molecules called
    free radicals cause damage to the human body. 
  • Our body has the potential to cope with a limited
    number of free radicals. But, when the level of
    oxidation jumps, it will lead to severe diseases
    such as, heart problems, liver problems, and
    cancers. Hence, it is important to cut down the
    level of oxidative stress, cigarette smoking,
    alcohol consumption, sunlight, pollution, and
    much more. 
  • Plant foods are rich sources of antioxidants.
    Vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains, and meats
    come under that category of antioxidant foods. We
    consume antioxidants daily, and it is important
    to keep it going until the very end. Hence, the
    consumption of antioxidant-rich foods is vital to
    keep yourself healthy. 
  • Apart from consuming antioxidants through foods,
    various supplements via tablets are there to aid
    us as well. However, antioxidants through foods
    are believed to be more healthy than consuming
    the same through tablets.

  • Some antioxidant foods include garlic, onion,
    milk, nuts, red wine, pumpkin, carrot, spinach,
    tea, and seafood. These are the best antioxidant
    foods, and it is highly recommended to consume
    these, which automatically helps us stay away
    from these diseases. 
  • Apart from foods, several beverages are also rich
    in antioxidants. Apple juice, cider, tomato
    juice, pomegranate juice, and green tea are some
    of the beverages that bolster the antioxidant
    element inside your body. 
  • In addition to this, foods in darker colours,
    like orange, yellow, blue, and red are always
    higher in antioxidants than other foods. It is
    important to understand that consumption of food
    plays the main role in the formation of
    antioxidants and dissolution of oxidants as well.
