10Purpose of NORDCAPS
- Further develop Nordic co-operation in Peace
Support Operations (PSO) - For operations led by UN, EU, NATO or OSCE
- Coordination of PSO on a case by case basis
- Develop generic concepts, planning and procedures
to enable generation of robust and cost-effective
multinational Nordic forces for PSO - No standing forces or command structures
- Improve training and education by sharing the
responsibility of courses

The purpose of the UN Logistic course is to
prepare students for assignments as logistic
staff officers at Headquarters level, and Supply
officers in present or future UN peacekeeping
operations. The course is also valuable for
officers working at national governmental level
with interface to UN peacekeeping operations
