The Making of the Human Development Report

• The Human Development Report is published since
  1990
• The Report was first launched with the single
  goal of putting people at the center of the
  development process. The goal was simple but with
  far-ranging implications going beyond income to
  assess the level of peoples long-term well-being
• Over the years, the Human Development Reports
  have helped to drive the evolution of the concept
  of human development
• The HDR has offered ground- breaking analysis on
  a wide range of critical issues, such as
  peoples participation, human security, human
  rights, cultural liberty, etc.
