10JUNIOR SECTION
- The question of whether to open a Junior Section
has been discussed a number of times. - We can only ever defer this decision and never
dismiss it forever.
RECOMMENDATION defer for at least 12 months.
The current numbers do not require support from
juniors and the unit infrastructure and staff
will struggle to support an effective Junior
section.
11MARINE CADETS
- 2008 Marine Activities
- Increase Marine Staff and support
- Identify options for female Marines
- Develop Marine training packs

13BUILDINGS
One Unit ideally this needs to have
accommodation, waterfront access, quarterdeck,
training rooms etc Therefore we must await to
see the outcome of the local development to
identify the suitability of developing the
Sailing Centre. Unlikely to attract lottery or
other funding until docks development has
advanced. In the short term we must look at
increasing the number of training rooms at the
Unit HQ, options could include expansion above
the rooms on the Quarterdeck or taking back the
FLAT.
