  • A group of nobles decided to force the kings to
    respect their rights. They made King John approve
    a document listing right that the king could not
    ignore was called MAGNA CARTA.
  • Who demanded this agreement?- King John.

Effects of magna Carta.
  • Magna Carta required the king to honor certain
    rights. Among these right was habeas corpus. The
    rights of habeas corpus meant that people could
    not be kept in jail without a reason.
