  • Glass
  • Mice and chipmunks crawl into opened bottles and
get trapped inside, unable to get a footing on
the slippery glass to push themselves out through
the small opening. Also, broken glass can injure
    people, pets and wildlife.
  • Other Types of Litter are Harmful
  • Cigarette filters, cellophane wrappers and
Styrofoam cups, eaten by deer and other wildlife
    can cause internal problems.
  • Shiny bottle caps or pop-tops may be eaten by
wildlife, including fish, injuring or killing
    them.
  • Always set an example by not littering, no
    matter where you are.
  • Keep your yard clean and free of things than can
blow into the street and become litter.
  • Whenever you visit a park or beach, carry out
what you bring in -- keep unwanted items in a bag
or backpack until you can put them in a litter
    basket or public garbage can.
  • If your family puts recyclables in a bin at
curbside, tie up loose paper that could blow out.
