Why are we changing?

• College of medicine recommendation
• Users demand more features and functionality than
  our current system can handle
• Calendar/Contacts
• Multi-point access (including from home)

What are the plans?

• Mail to our servers (anest1, anest2, anest4) will
  be redirected to the groupwise server
• Pegasus will remain installed, but will not
  receive any new mail
• Every weekend one server will be done

• What will be my email address?
• The same as your current address
• Cant we change the email addresses to something
  easier?
• YES. In Phase II we will assign additional,
  easier email addresses.

What happens to the old system?

• Pegasus mail will remain installed
• No new mail will be received
• Eventually sending of mail will be turned off

How do I log in?

• An email will be sent to your Pegasus mail with
  your login information
• The username is the same as your Novell login,
  but the password will be different
• The password can easily be changed after you login

How can I access Groupwise?

• At work
• Click on the icon on the desktop
• At home
• Point your web browser to
• http//mail.anest.ufl.edu
• Install the Groupwise client
• Use Outlook Express with IMAP
• More web capability will come in Phase II

How can I learn more?

• Bob Owen will give teaching sessions in M-500
• TODAY 830am and 4pm
• Other sessions will be announced
• Check the departmental website
• We will have tips, configuration information, etc.
