Legislative Priority 1

• Support legislation to restore all transfers to
  local governments, and therefore assist in
  keeping property taxes low.
• Machinery and Equipment
• Local Ad Valorem Tax Reduction (LAVTR)
• Liquor Tax
• Special City-County Highway Funds

Legislative Priority 2

• Support legislation that will retain the use of
  casino revenue for their intended original
  purposes.
• 1. Reduction of state debt,
• 2. State infrastructure improvements, and
• 3. Reduction of local property taxes.

  Agenda
• League of Kansas Municipalities
• Regional Economic Area Partnerships (REAP)

• The 2010 Legislative Session begins January 11,
  2010.
• Staff will monitor legislative activities.
• City Council will be apprised of any actions
  needed.
• City Hall Day, sponsored by the League, is
  February 3, 2010.
