Reading Renaissance

Homework

• Blue Take-Home/homework folder used daily
• Left pocket is for graded work and notes for
  home.
• Right side is for homework and notes for
  teachers.
• Assignment sheet in the middle
• Students record homework from board daily
• Homework should never exceed 60 minutes
• Students should read for 30 minutes each day at
  home.

Organization

• Students should have binders to organize
• All corrected class work
• All corrected homework
• All handouts
• All study notes
• Cleaned out according to teachers directions

Absences/Early Dismissal

• Note required explaining absence
• Make-up work can be picked up at the end of the
  day (after 330)
• Students expected to see teacher about make-up
  work
• Long-term absences refer to BRE handbook
• Please try to make appointments after 330. We
  teach until 315 every day.

• Be prepared (materials, Take Home folders,
  homework)
• Return signed communications
• Keep work areas neat and clean
• Turn in all class work as directed
• Complete and turn in all homework assignments

• WEEKLY CONSEQUENCES
• 3 punches recess detention
• 4 punches note home/phone call home
• 5 punches Discipline Referral to Office
• LOST ICMM CARDS
• Cards should remain stapled to the missing
  assignment sheet in the Take Home folder at all
  times. A lost ICMM card will result in a lost of
  the ICMM party and a punch under the
  responsibility section of the newly issued card.

• Students who comply with the rules will receive
  praise, positive notes home, and special
  appropriate privileges.
• MONTHLY REWARD
• ICMM party every 4 weeks for students with 0-2
  total punches on the ICMM card.

• Sent home weekly in Blue Take-Home folder
• Includes all graded papers from previous week and
  conduct report
• Please sign cover sheet and return all papers

• B 89-80
• C 79-73
• D 72-70
• F 69 and below
• Chapter/Unit tests count double
• L.A. Grade 70/20/10
• 10 points off per day for graded assignments
  turned in late (until a grade of 60)
