  • Slide Master controls appearance (fonts,
    placeholders, background design, bullet styles
    etc) of all slides except title slide
  • Format/Add elements

  • various supported audio formats in PowerPoint
  • WAV file - Microsoft Windows format, digital
    recording of actual sound, files can be very
    large
  • MIDI file - Musical Instrument Digital Interface,
    stores instructions to create sound, used for
    music, more compact than .wav
  • Other formats include AIF (audio interchange
    file), AIF3, MP3 find out about mp3 format,

Sound
  • .wav files digitized recordings of actual sound
  • tiny segment of sound is known as a sample,
    stored as a binary number
  • Sampling Rate no. of samples per second

  • Transition effects only apply to .wav files
  • Insert menu, Select Movies and Sounds command,
    select from file or gallery
