We are long term residents of Eastern North
Carolina and we are concerned with the
deteriorating water quality of the Neuse river.

Stella will be used to model water quality along
the Neuse River. Measurements taken at various
points along the river will be used to monitor
levels of pollutants entered at points upstream.

Students will begin to gather some on-site data
during the spring semester 2001 to be used in the
Stella model.
