The Cherokee

• Treaty of Long Island stated that the Cherokee
  gave up all lands east of the Blue Ridge
  Mountains and along the Watauga, Nolichucky,
  Upper Holston and New Rivers signed by NC, VA
  and the Cherokee

  Continental Line, the state militia, and
  independent bands called partisans.

• General Nathaniel Greene led American forces
  against General Cornwallis at the Battle of
  Guilford Court House
• On October 19, 1781, General Cornwallis
  surrendered at Yorktown, VA, ending the
  Revolutionary War
