You will be going on an adventure to explore
Saturn. You will be part of a team of scientist
s to gather data about the planet, Saturn.
Your trip will be two weeks long.
In addition to your space suit, you may bring
what will fit in your school backpack.

How are you going to get to Saturn? What are yo
ur motives, or reasons, for going to Saturn?
What materials did you choose to bring? Why did
you choose those materials to bring? What was
the importance of them? What knowledge do you hop
e to gain from your trip? How would your trip ben
efit others back home?

15Culminating Activity
You will be assigned one of the 8 explorers to
become a resident expert for your peers.
You will research this explorer using your
textbook and/or other resources.
You will be given a time limit of 40 minutes to
prepare your presentation. You will use the t
hree questions to guide your presentation in
front of your peers. What were their motives? W
here did they go and how did they get there?
(draw a map) What were their impacts? Positive a
nd negative.
16Presentation Requirements
- You will need to have one visual (drawing, a map,
a chart, an image, etc)
- You must choose at least one of the following to
present your ideas
- Flip book
- Power point presentation
- Brochure
- Newsletter
- Baseball card/ poster
- Teacher Approved Activity
17 During Presentation
- 5 minutes to present
- All group members must be an active and vocal
part of the presentation
- All 3 questions must be addressed during
presentation
- Audience members must come up with a question (
off students 1-5)(1s will be Who questions,
2s will be What questions, etc.). Each
question will be collected after each
presentation
