• She was born on July 29, 1945.
• The town Sharon Creech was born in is South
  Euclid, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.
• She lived with her parents (Ann and Arvel), her
  sister (Sandy), and her brothers (Dennis, Doug,
  and Tom).

Early Life

• When Sharon Creech was young she wanted to be
  many different things. Some of them include a
  painter, an ice skater, a singer, a teacher, and
  a reporter.

Later Life

• Her first book was Absolutely Normal Chaos. It
  was based on her hectic life that she lived as a
  kid.
• She is now married to Lyle Rigg, who is the
  headmaster of The Pennington School in
  Pennington, New Jersey. They have two grown
  children, Rob and Karin.

Education

• While Sharon was in college she took some
  literature and writing courses.
• She graduated with a Bachelors Degree at Hiram
  Collage in 1967.
• She graduated with a Masters Degree at George
  Mason University in 1978.

• Usually Sharons inspiration comes by thinking of
  a family member or someone she saw at a bus stop.
• Her inspiration for Walk Two Moons came from what
  a fortune cookie said "Don't judge a man until
  you've walked two moons in his moccasins."
