Experiencing God

• God is always at work around us.
• God pursues a love relationship with us that is
  real and personal.
• God invites us to join Him in His work.
• God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible,
  prayer, circumstances and the Church to reveal
  Himself, His purposes and His ways.
• Gods invitation to join Him in His work will
  lead us to a crisis of belief that requires faith
  and action.

• We must make major adjustments in our lives to
  follow God and join Him in what He is doing.

Adjustments

• Rahab - Joshua 28-24
• She believed that the God of the Israelites was
  the true God
• She had heard of their victory over the Egyptians
  in the Red Sea
• She was willing to protect the spies by deceiving
  her own people, She helped the spies escape
• Her adjustment saved herself and her family.

  Matthew 418-22
• They not only left their nets, they left their
  future
• They left their family
• The mission of God was carried out, the church
  began, the apostles gave their lives as a
  testimony to Christ.

• Result the young man walks away sad,
  unfulfilled, dejected.

  Hebrews 121-3
• We are to throw off all that hinders our running
• We are to run with our eyes fixed on Jesus
• We are to consider Jesus faithfulness so that we
  dont lose heart.

• Our experience of God is determined by our
  willingness to make adjustments in order to
  follow Him and obey Him.
