Spelling Curriculum(Words Their Way)
  • During each lesson the students will learn a new
    word pattern. This will help eliminate the need
    for spelling lists because they will be
    incorporating the new word pattern into other
    words.
  • The students will be actively engaged in sorting
    activities where they categorize words and
    patterns through examining similarities and
    differences of spellings.
  • The students will find words with similar word
    patterns in real life media sources such as
    newspapers, magazines and books.
  • The students will apply their skills in both Word
    Study Notebooks and in everyday writing.
  • Students will engage in games and activities that
    may be sent home for word work practice.

Field Trip
  • We will be taking a trip to the KC Pumpkin Patch
    in October 7th
  • The cost is 5.00 includes a pumpkin and
    activities Parents will also pay 5.00.
  • This will be a half day trip
  • No siblings due to insurance reasons.
  • More information coming soon!

How you can help as Parents
  • Homework will be sent home Monday through
    Thursday.
  • Book It!

  • READ to your child every day!
  • Ask specific questions about your childs day.

Pick Up and Dismissal
  • Thank you for your patience!
  • Children arriving before 815 will wait in the
    gym.
  • For morning kindergarten Pick up is 1125
    after 1130 your child will be waiting for you in
    the office.
  • For afternoon and full-day kindergarten pick up
    is at 325.

Milk Break and Snack
  • Please see Bonita Grant in order to put money in
    your childs accounts for milk and lunch.
  • Milk will be offered during snack time on
    Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Please make sure you send a healthy snack with
    your child to school each day.
