    dozen people
  • The most serious threat to these languages is
that they fail to be passed down naturally from
    parents to children

MEASURES THAT COULD PREVENT ITS EXTINCTION
  • FACT
  • Language is an important part of any society.
  • Future generations may lose a vital part of the
culture that is necessary to completely
    understand it.

PROBLEM Oral traditions and other inherited
knowledge are no longer transmitted among native
speakers
SOLUTIONS
  • The internet can be used to raise awareness about
the issues of language extinction and language
    preservation.
  • Encourage younger generations to speak the
language as they grow, so they will then teach
their children the language as well.
