• KO2 is a very reactive, extremely stable
  chemical, reacting with the humidity and
  the CO2 of the exhalation air, releasing O2
  and heat (exothermic reaction)
• KO2 oxidises reliably all foreign substances
• ... and the breathing air is very dry!

Flexible Service Time The service time depends
on the respiration perform- ance. High
performance (heavy work) increases the oxygen
generation, low performance (light work) extends
the service time! Sudden changes to high
performance are compen-sated by the oxygen
surplus!
