My Shining Moment
  • My proudest personal accomplishment occurred
when I graduated from college with my Bachelors
degree. Although I do have a Masters, my
undergraduate years were long and difficult. I
had to pay for college myself, and it took 5
years to do it. Throughout those years I held
several part-time jobs in order to pay for my
living expenses as well as college tuition
because my parents did not make enough money to
help me with college. The day I walked across the
stage and held my college diploma in my hand was
the day I realized I could do anything if I just
    keep working hard.

13
Your Shining Moment
  • Now its your turn. Write about your shining
    moment.
  • First, brainstorm (alone or with one partner) and
write a word-web or list ideas.
  • Next, write a rough draft on your own paper.
  • Finally, write your final draft on the paper
provided. This is the publication step, so write
in blue or black ink, please.
