  • Go to www.trionschools.org
  • Click on the parent portal link at the top of the
    page.
  • Login using your childs parent portal login and
    password
  • Click the course registration icon at the top of
    the page

  • Use your childs Individualized Graduation Plan
    on GACollege411.com to sign up for the correct
    classes.

General Information
  • There is only one diploma.
  • Students take the same basic curriculum.
  • Students earn Carnegie units or credits by
    passing a class. 1 class 1 Carnegie unit.
  • Students at Trion High School can earn up to 8
    Carnegie units per year.

  • Students do not pass for the year as they have
    done for the previous nine years of their school
    careers.
  • Students must pass particular classes and earn a
    certain number of credits to graduate high
    school.

  • 4 english credits
  • 4 math credits
  • 4 science credits
  • 3 social studies credits
  • 3 credits in either CTAE, Fine Arts, or Foreign
    Language
  • .5 in Health
  • .5 in Physical Education

General Information
  • At Trion High School, students must meet the
    state mandated credits and earn a total of 28
    credits to graduate.
  • To be considered a
  • Sophomore you must earn 7 credits
  • Junior you must earn 14 credits
  • Senior you must earn 21 credits

  • 9th grade Literature
  • Coordinate Algebra
  • Physical Science
  • Citizenship
  • Health and Personal Fitness

Honors Classes
  • If students have an aptitude or interest in a
  • particular subject area, encourage them to sign
    up for one or more honors classes. We will
    determine placement in honors classes based on
    grades, test scores, and teacher recommendation.

  • There are five mandatory 9th grade classes. Thus
    there are three classes a student can choose to
    take. These classes come from one of the
    following subject areas
  • Physical Education
  • Fine Arts
  • CTAE

  • Students will choose a pathway based on their
    interests when they complete the Individualized
    Career Plan
  • Most pathways consist of three courses
  • There is an end of pathway assessment the student
    must pass after completing the course work.
