- they are part of ts interlink, secure and fully
searchable - post and share important project news
- shared document repository Word, Excel, PDF
- you have complete control of readership
- create your own site using a simple form
- ts mail is used to inform users when there is a
new posting.
3what can microsites do for you?
- use as a project resource tool to raise awareness
of what you are working on - share new projects/initiatives cross-border,
locally, regionally or nationally - access all relevant information and documents in
one place including Word, PDF etc - you select the readership, the entire trading
standards audience can be reached - you will never miss any important information and
will always stay informed - share sensitive information outside of your
service securely

You will see the addition of microsites in the
right hand main menu.
As we develop this further, you may notice slight
changes to the front page
5microsite menu page
- the top box shows you the sites you own
- the bottom box displays sites you have read or
read/write access to - this is one of two ways of getting access to
microsites.
Click on product recalls and you will see the
microsite home page which opens in a new window.
To get back, just close the window.

In the archive section, you can access previous
postings.
In this area you will find the five most recent
postings.

You will also be alerted to new postings through
ts mail like this

When you click into the mail you will see this

This is the main text area, which can also
contain pictures and attachments
Use the contact us form to contact the microsite
owner.
10Tagging Authors of new posts can 'tag' their
items with relevant keywords, as an aid to other
users when they are searching for specific
material.
Add a comment If you wish to respond to the post
type your text in the box, click add a comment
and your comment will be listed.
11RSS feeds
- To subscribe to an RSS newsfeed of your
interest, click subscribe and you will see a
page opens up in a new window - you can subscribe to keep up-to-date with
relevant postings that appear in ts mail.

RSS feeds help keep you informed by automatically
delivering headlines to your desktop You will
see a subscribe button in the top right hand
corner.
12RSS feeds continued
Headlines of postings will be delivered to your
desktop through your news reader - without you
having to log into ts interlink. You only need
to log into ts interlink if you are interested in
viewing the complete post. By subscribing to RSS
feeds, you can keep up-to-date with your areas of
interest.
13Search function
At the top right hand side of the microsite
homepage, you will find the search function.
This will search the whole microsite, including
attachments and tags. It will not search ts
interlink, just the microsite only.
14- Alerts

- alerts currently work for news service
documents, and will soon include ts mail and
microsite postings - if a ts mail message contains a keyword of
interest, a plain Internet email will be sent to
your personal email account to alert you - never miss a relevant posting on ts interlink
again because the alert system will cover every
part of ts interlink.
