Her Life
  • Mother died. She was only 7 months old. She died
    from tuberculosis.
  • Abandoned by her father
  • Born in 1869 of march in St. Andrews East in
    Quebec. Died in September 2, 1940
  • Grandma adopted her and her older sister legally.
    Last names then became Abbott.

  • Went to private seminary for final high school
    year
  • Got a scholarship to McGill University
  • Went to Bishops College to study medicine
  • Only woman in her class.

Conclusion
  • I chose Maude Abbott because she sounded very
    interesting, and I have heard about her also.
  • I also chose her because she helped many blue
    babies and I think that is amazing.
  • I learned that to never give up on your dreams
    because she never gave up and made her dream come
    true.
