Zulawy Wislane
The area encompasses depression with the highest
level of flood risk in Poland, involving risk of
all types of floods.

Zulawy a man-made land dating back to 700
years ago obtained by draining land, cutting
forests, planting special species of trees its
existence depends on the efficiency of the
drainage system and the flood protection devices.

Activities

• Clearing of rivers with anadromic fish species
  by constructing facilities to enable fish
  migration next to barriers such as
• fish ponds,
• hydroelectric power stations,
• water intakes,
• regulating structures i.e. permanent barriers in
  river beds
