• Early consideration of BREEAM criteria
• Ensure key design team members have BREEAM
  experience
• Do a pre-assessment at the earliest possible
  stage with a formal BREEAM assessor.
• Early consideration of renewables
• Consider planning application impact
• Get an ecologists input into the landscaping as
  early as possible
• Make sure contractor aware of expectations and
  has bought into the concept
• Regularly re-assess scheme
• Dont forget on going collection of evidence
• Ensure Governors, colleagues and funders
  understand BREEAM implications
• BREEAM is about the whole and not just a building
