Types of BREEAM Schools Assessment

• Design and Procurement (DP)
• Design stage of new build
• Post-construction Review (PCR)
• To ensure the completed building is as specified
  in the DP assessment

When is BREEAM Schools Required?

• DP stage assessment mandatory for
• the following DfES projects
• Primary School Projects costing 500,000 or more
• Secondary school projects costing 2,000,000 or
  more
• All projects involving remodelling or
  refurbishment of more than 10 of the gross
  internal floor area of a school
• DfES expects all schemes to achieve VERY GOOD
• Also encouraged for smaller scale projects
